Parish Life > Governance Governance Our church is blessed by the strong leadership offered by a number of our parish members. Through our board and committee structure the life and work of the parish is carried out. We have two boards – the Board of Management and the Advisory Board – each with a number of committees reporting to it. The Board of Management attends to the financial aspects of church life and the upkeep of the building itself. Comprised of members of the parish, the treasurer, the chair of the Advisory Board and the Incumbent, the board meets monthly. The archives, financial advisory, personnel, property, stewardship, and technology committees report to the board on a regular basis. In addition the parish budget, first drafted by the financial advisory committee, is presented for consideration by the board and ultimately is presented to both the Board of Management and the Advisory Board for recommendation to the parish at the annual Vestry meeting. The Advisory Board assumes responsibility for those things that happen "inside the building". Representatives from Christian Education, church school, newcomers welcoming, outreach, the Task Force for the Public Profile of the Parish, and the worship committees join members at large, the chair of the Board of Management and the Incumbent in planning for those events that support and nurture the faith of our very youngest members through to more senior members of the parish.
