Continuing the Conversation over the Summer
Members of the Redeemer community have been having informal follow-up discussions over the summer. Below are links to summaries of each. Additional suggestions or comments are welcome by email or on our online forum.

| Another group had a discussion over the summer about a proposed capital campaign that would begin in 2012. Circumstances and resources may require this group to move at a different pace, so while the discussion was not part of the visioning conversation, the group is following the visioning conversation. If you have thoughts about what a capital campaign should look like, how much money we should raise to meet our commitment to ministry, why we need to raise capital, what messages we need to convey, the group welcomes your comments, which can be sent to stewardship@theredeemer.ca. | |

A summary of the retreat and main themes, along with a description of the process and timeline going forward, have been posted. The witnesses (Karen Clarke, Louise Greig, Joan Robinson and Marjorie Wrightson) and the leadership of the Board of Management and Advisory Board look forward to hearing your feedback at retreat@theredeemer.ca.
Two informal evenings of community building and follow-up discussion of themes from the retreat were held on July 25 and August 22 at the Duke of York. A summary of those discussions will be posted by the end of August.
Update May 19, 2011
On Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14, 2011, over 90 members of the community gathered to begin the process of setting a course for the next 3-5 years at Redeemer. The Very Rev'd Peter Elliott, Dean of Christ Church Cathedral in Vancouver, was an engaging and gifted facilitator for the weekend.
The retreat was just the beginning. No decisions will be made until after Andrew Asbil's return from sabbatical in October. Now we all need to review what happened, pray, talk with one another and let the Spirit help us discern where we go next as a community.
Below are links to materials discussed during the retreat and to notes documenting what happened. If you were able to join us, this may be a refresher. If you couldn't attend, we hope this will help you become part of the process.
As you will see in the Record of Proceedings, four witnesses were named to ensure this visioning process moves forward. We are Karen Clarke, Louise Greig, Joan Robinson and Marjorie Wrightson.
