Renting Space The church building is used by community service groups, self-help groups, for-profit and not-for-profit organizations every day of the week. The building accommodates a wide variety of activities like board meetings, concerts, banquets, and receptions. The Church of the Redeemer is home to a number of groups that regularly use our sanctuary for concerts. Situated in the heart of Yorkville, the Church offers a new lower level and refurbished sanctuary complete with a porcelain tile floor and air conditioning. The nave is wide, providing an intimate setting with comfortable seating and good sightlines. A rebuilt Casavant three-manual pipe organ and Yamaha concert grand piano are available for accompaniment. The lower level provides an accessible green room/warm-up space as well as a spacious kitchen for the comfort of performers. The main level of the church is a popular location for concerts and large meetings and events. The narthex (at the back of the church behind the pews) with adjacent kitchenette is suitable for meetings or receptions of up to 100 people. With the addition of chairs in the narthex a maximum of 300 people can be accommodated for concerts.
Located on the lower level the Board Room is suitable for meetings or small receptions accommodating a maximum of 21 people.
The largest room on the lower level is the Parish Hall which can be used for meetings or receptions. Its maximum capacity is 100 people seated or 150 standing.
Adjacent to the Parish Hall and lower level washrooms, the Nursery can accommodate meetings of up to 8 people.
Classroom 1 on the lower level is suitable for small meetings of 4 people maximum.
Classrooms 2 & 3 are adjacent to each other on the lower level and are separated by a moveable divider. They can be used individually as small meeting rooms with a maximum capacity of 6 in Classroom 2 and 8 in Classroom 3, or they can be combined to created a larger space.
The Choir Room, located on the top floor of the building, can be used for musical rehearsals or meetings by up to 50 people. A feature of the room is the Ascension stained glass window which faces Bloor Street.
