Heritage Restoration Project Archive - Narthex and Sound

In the 1980s, as a small, struggling parish, we partitioned off an area at the back of the church to be used as meeting space.  Over the years our community has continued to grow so that the time has come to reclaim this area as worship space.  Dividers will be removed, and four lovely stained glass windows will once again be part of the body of the church.

Harsh, fluorescent light fixtures cast strange shadows on hymn books!  They will be replaced with softer lighting to help integrate this area with the rest of the worship space.

Our worship experience definitely varies depending where we are seated.  Not only is it difficult to hear at the back of the church, but it is also impossible for servers sitting mere feet from the preacher to hear the sermon!  A new sound system will enable everyone to participate fully in our worship experience.
